Volleyball Recap: Mclaurin Starts Season with Win Against Raleigh

McLaurin had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Raleigh Lions. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16.

Raleigh's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McLaurin will face off against Jefferson Davis County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Raleigh, they will challenge Mendenhall at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
