Basketball Recap: Wray Triumphs

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Wray ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Akron Rams 50-47. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 47-38 win the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2025.

Katie Harms was the offensive standout of the game as she posted 12 points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four). Addison Jones was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Wray was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 6-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Molly O'Neil, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. That was a full 36.2% of Akron's points, marking the fourth time in a row O'Neil has earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kashlee Randel, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 15 points.

Wray's record is now 12-8. As for Akron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Wray didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-32 loss against University on the 20th. As for Akron, they have also already played their next matchup, a 50-47 victory against Caliche on the 19th.
