Baseball Recap: Millard North Finds Playoff Glory Versus Elkhorn South

It's playoff time, and Millard North had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Elkhorn South Storm on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Storm on Wednesday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Millard North got a great performance from Noah Gartner as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Smith, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Caden Shafer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Millard North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elkhorn South only posted a batting average of .200.
