Basketball Recap: Lowell Catholic Comes Up Short

Lowell Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Dedham Marauders 67-30. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Marauders are ranked 45th).

When it comes to explaining why Lowell Catholic lost, don't look at Leticia Castro. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points. That was a full 46.7% of Lowell Catholic's points, marking the fourth time in a row Castro has put up more than a third of the team's points.

Lowell Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Dedham, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
