Volleyball Recap: Amboy Comes Up Short

Amboy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Polo Marcos. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Clippers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Madison Althaus paced Amboy's offense, picking up four kills. Althaus were helped by Jadyn Whelchel and Morgan Kreiser, who contributed five assists each.

Amboy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Polo, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5-1.

Amboy has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Milledgeville on the 27th. As for Polo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Hiawatha on the 27th.
