Volleyball Recap: Austin Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Austin's win against New Washington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles skirted past the Mustangs 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Despite the defeat, New Washington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lillie Boggess had ten digs and one assist.

Austin's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for New Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Austin and New Washington will both be playing Southwestern the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Rebels at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mustangs will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
