Basketball Game Preview: Doherty Memorial Highlanders vs. Westwood Wolverines

The Doherty Memorial Highlanders will challenge the Westwood Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Wednesday, Doherty Memorial ended up a good deal behind Shrewsbury and lost 71-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Highlanders came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Colonials are ranked 65th).

Westwood has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost 67-41 to Archbishop Williams on Wednesday.

Doherty Memorial's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4. As for Westwood, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
