Sunnyside entered their tilt with Mendota on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They won by a goal and slipped past the Mendota Aztecs 2-1. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Aztecs, too.

Sergio Quevedo and Juan Lopez scored both of Sunnyside's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Sunnyside's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Mendota, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3-2.

Sunnyside didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Central on the 27th. As for Mendota, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Morro Bay on the 3rd.
