Football Recap: Stewarts Creek Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Stewarts Creek's offense. They had to suffer through a 27-0 loss at the hands of the Smyrna Bulldogs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Trevel Gordon had a dynamite game For Smyrna., rushing for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Those 176 rushing yards gave Gordon a new career-high.

Stewarts Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Smyrna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

As of now, neither Stewarts Creek nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
