Basketball Recap: Cloverdale Takes a Loss

Cloverdale played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Edgewood Mustangs and fell 73-42. The Clovers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Owen Mcgovern was a one-man wrecking crew for Edgewood as he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Mcgovern a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Jones, who posted 11 points.

Cloverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Cloverdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-59 loss against Southmont on the 7th. As for Edgewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 73-44 win against North Putnam on the 7th.
