Basketball Recap: Ralston Comes Up Short

Ralston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 31st straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the McCook Bison 63-13. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Bison are ranked 84th).

When it comes to explaining why Ralston lost, don't look at Kat Busenbark. Despite the final result, she posted five points. The dominant performance gave Busenbark a new career-high in points.

Ralston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for McCook, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Ralston will challenge Conestoga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McCook, they and Nebraska City will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
