Football Game Preview: Lawrence North Wildcats vs. Warren Central Warriors

Lawrence North and Warren Central are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Wildcats will host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lawrence North comes in on four and Warren Central on five.

On Friday, Lawrence North humbled Ben Davis with a 48-19 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Darian Prather and Izayveon Moore were among the main playmakers for Lawrence North as the former rushed for 165 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.3 yards per carry and the latter gained 168 total yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Prather a new career-high in passing yards (251).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lawrence North was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 161 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Warren Central posted their closest victory since September 20, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Pike 31-28. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Red Devils are ranked 66th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lawrence North's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Warren Central, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.

Lawrence North took their win against Warren Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 33-7 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Warriors' KENDALL GARNETT III, who rushed for 117 yards and one TD.
