Football Game Preview: Dakota Cougars vs. Romeo Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Dakota Cougars will head out to square off against the Romeo Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Dakota's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over Chippewa Valley. The Cougars' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Dakota got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeramiah Aaron out in front who rushed for 119 yards and one score while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Those 119 rushing yards gave Aaron a new career-high. Dakota also got help from Elijah Goins, who showed off his sure hands for 85 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Romeo over Anchor Bay in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Tars out of the water with a 51-0 final score. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tars: they've now won nine in a row.

Dakota's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Romeo, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Dakota against Romeo in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
