Vancleave is a perfect 10-0 against Gautier since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vancleave Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Gautier Gators at 6:30 p.m. Vancleave is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Vancleave was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Gautier on Tuesday. Vancleave was the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Gautier. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the game before.

Brianna Webster was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Ross, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Vancleave was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Vancleave's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Gautier, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
