Basketball Recap: Imani Christian Academy Saints vs. Neighborhood Academy
Even though Neighborhood Academy scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the Imani Christian Academy Saints still came out on top. Imani Christian Academy enjoyed a cozy 72-56 win over the. Winning may never get old, but Imani Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Imani Christian Academy to victory were Nate Brazil and RJ Sledge. Brazil scored 18 points along with four steals, while Sledge scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Brazil hasn't dropped below 18 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Wesley, who scored seven points along with three steals and two blocks.
Imani Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Neighborhood Academy, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Imani Christian Academy will challenge the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Neighborhood Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 682nd, while the are ranked 167th).
