Volleyball Recap: West Hills Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Hills lost against Steele Canyon back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolf Pack took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. While the Wolf Pack didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-19 in the first set.

West Hills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-23.

Steele Canyon was led to victory by Emily Lucatero and Audrey Hernandez. Lucatero had 12 digs, while Hernandez had eight digs and three aces. That's the most digs Hernandez has posted over her last six matchups. Tiana Baker also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

West Hills has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 20 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season. As for Steele Canyon, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Looking ahead, West Hills will head out to challenge Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Steele Canyon, they will take on Redlands at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
