Softball Recap: Temecula Valley Comes Up Short

Temecula Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 13-2 to the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Bears of the 13-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Temecula Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Crouse, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Temecula Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Murrieta Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Temecula Valley will take on Vista Murrieta at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Vista Murrieta's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Temecula Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Murrieta Valley, they will face off against Great Oak at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Great Oak will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Murrieta Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
