Softball Recap: Junction City Comes Up Short

After flying high against Creswell on Wednesday, Junction City came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Henley Hornets on Saturday, falling 20-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since May 15, 2024.

With the loss, Junction City broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8. As for Henley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Junction City will head out to challenge Cottage Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Henley, they will host Hidden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
