Canton was the 42-19 winner over Athens when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Canton Warriors fell to the Athens Wildcats 48-42. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.
Connor Davidson was a one-man wrecking crew for Athens as he rushed for 212 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. The dominant performance gave Davidson a new career-high in rushing yards. Brendan Cooke was in the mix too, providing Athens with a touchdowns.
