Basketball Recap: Turner Golden Bears vs. Seaman Vikings

Turner lost against Seaman back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Turner Golden Bears had to suffer through a 69-41 loss at the hands of the Seaman Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Vikings are ranked 39th).

Turner's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colin Pittman, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyland Mcgee, who posted ten points and three blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Turner and nudges their season record down to 3-11. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 12-2 Shawnee Heights (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 79.5% over those games).
