Lapeer has gone a perfect 10-0 against Carman-Ainsworth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lightning will head out on the road to square off against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Carman-Ainsworth took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lapeer, who comes in off a win.

Lapeer will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Grand Blanc, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lightning put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Lapeer walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Carman-Ainsworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Swartz Creek.

Lapeer pushed their record up to 8-14-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Carman-Ainsworth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Lapeer took their victory against Carman-Ainsworth in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lightning since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
