Softball Recap: Ellington Knights vs. South Windsor Bobcats        
        
		
            
 Ellington can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Tuesday. They never let the South Windsor Bobcats onto the board and left with  a   13-0  victory. The  win was nothing new for Ellington as they're now sitting on five straight.
  Sara Gilbert made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Gilbert was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Keyleigh Flaherty was  incredible,  going 1-for-2 with four  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run. Another player making a difference was  Kathryn Czyz, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Ellington has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record  this season. As for South Windsor, they now  have a losing record at 5-6.
 Ellington will head out on the road to  square off against  Bolton at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Bolton: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Ellington has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. South Windsor will take on Northwest Catholic at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. South Windsor is facing Northwest Catholic at the right time seeing as Northwest Catholic is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
