Basketball Recap: Alvord's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Alvord unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lindsay Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-69 back in January.

Alvord's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Lindsay, they pushed their record up to 19-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Alvord will head out to face off against Tioga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvord is facing Tioga at the right time seeing as Tioga is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lindsay, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chico at 6:15 p.m. Lindsay knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Chico likes a good challenge.
