Recap: Academy of the New Church Lions vs. Malvern Prep Friars

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Academy of the New Church Lions walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Friars on Thursday and snuck past 80-77. The win was familiar territory for Academy of the New Church who now have nine in a row.

Bahsil Laster was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with five assists and three steals. Nolan Waldon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.

Academy of the New Church pushed their record up to 21-4 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
