Basketball Recap: Kasen Warner's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bear Lake over Firth

Bear Lake lost against Firth back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bear Lake Bears took a 62-45 bruising from the Firth Cougars.

Bear Lake's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasen Warner, who posted six points along with six rebounds and five assists. Those five assists gave Warner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Andersen, who had nine points and five assists.

Warner wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bear Lake was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Bear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Firth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Bear Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-29 loss against Grace on the 10th. As for Firth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-54 victory against Malad on the 9th.
