Basketball Recap: Clark Takes a Loss

Clark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 35th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 64-14 defeat at the hands of the Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights . While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Blue Knights are ranked first).

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was La'Niah Hicks, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. That's the most points Hicks has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Smith, who put up 11 points and three steals.

Clark's loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Clark wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-12 defeat against Faith Lutheran on the 4th. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-56 loss against Centennial on the 1st.
