It's playoff time, and Wesleyan Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors 5-4. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Josh Hammond was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cole Bowman, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Domaine Vann, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-11. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 28-3.
