Softball Recap: Fort Myers Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Fort Myers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Vanguard Knights, falling 13-1.

Fort Myers saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daciana Harvey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Harvey has posted since back in April of 2024. Sutton Bohannon also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Fort Myers' loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Vanguard, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Coming up, Fort Myers will venture away from home to face off against Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Myers is facing Naples at the right time seeing as Naples is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Vanguard, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-1 defeat against Venice on the 29th.
