Surry County won the last time they faced Greensville County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars blew past the Eagles 14-1. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Dalton Pierce and Tanner Keckler were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Pierce struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Keckler tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts Pierce has posted since back in March of 2024.
