Northside put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men Knights 11-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2020.

Tristen Garcia was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Northside got a massive performance out of Conner Amos, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Amos is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jermy Castillo, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Northside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matchups.

Northside's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Northside will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.
