Baseball Recap: Thunderbird Adventist Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Thunderbird Adventist Academy won the last time they faced Tohono O'Odham and things went their way on Tuesday too. Thunderbird Adventist Academy put the hurt on Tohono O'Odham with a sharp 18-5 win. That looming 18-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Thunderbird Adventist Academy yet this season.

Allen Mihai was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over three innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Mihai was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

That's the most runs Cordoba-Olave has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tobey Lounsbury, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Thunderbird Adventist Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Thunderbird Adventist Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2. As for Tohono O'Odham, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
