Softball Recap: Cesar Chavez Takes a Loss

Cesar Chavez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Fighting Lobos this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-2 defeat on Saturday.

Mariah Flores made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Jade Garcia also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Cesar Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for La Joya Community, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Cesar Chavez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-2 defeat against La Joya Community on the 15th. As for La Joya Community, they have also already played their next match, a 20-2 loss against Buckeye on the 15th.
