            Baseball Recap: Cathedral Prep Ramblers vs. Gila Ridge Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Northwest Christian, Cathedral Prep was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They walked away with  an   8-4  win over the Gila Ridge Hawks.
 Jacob Koshan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. Koshan was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and two  RBI.
 In other pitching news,  JP Poranski looked comfortable as he  pitched 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  he posted three  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 Back at the plate,  Mathius Sprickman was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Joe Flanagan, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
The  victory  got Cathedral Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Gila Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
 Cathedral Prep has already played their next game,  an  8-3  win against Cesar Chavez on the 4th. As for Gila Ridge, they will square off against Cibola at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
