Soccer Recap: Carver's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carver). They put the hurt on the Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Phoenix with a sharp 11-2 victory on Thursday. Given Carver's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy are ranked 599th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carver's offense was hitting Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Rafael Rocha led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 49 goals over those eight matchups.
