Baseball Recap: Trinitas Christian vs. Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Christian, Trinitas Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators 20-3. With that win, Trinitas Christian brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.
Chase Petersen was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jonathan Rook and Landon Varela did most of the damage at the plate: Rook went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Varela scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those five RBI gave Rook a new career-high. Jon A Sampson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
