Baseball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale was the 12-1 winner over Rockridge when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams came up short against the Rockets on Monday, falling 12-4. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverdale saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gaege Heinsen, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Rockridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Rockridge will head out on the road to take on Sherrard at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Rockets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Riverdale will be paying especially close attention to Rockridge's game: after Rockridge faces off against Sherrard, they'll take on Riverdale again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
