Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Comes Up Short

If Cornerstone was feeling good fresh off their 21-1 takedown of Tarrant on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cornerstone Eagles lost 14-4 to the Victory Christian Lions on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Cornerstone's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Victory Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4-1.

Cornerstone will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fultondale at 4:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Victory Christian, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-5 loss against Coosa Christian on the 18th.
