Basketball Recap: Rivercrest's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Pewitt came into Friday's game looking for another win against Rivercrest, but Diana Kelley wouldn't allow it. The Rivercrest Rebels strolled past the Pewitt Brahmas with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 40-22 thanks in part to Kelley, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in November of 2023.

Another player making a difference was Avery Ward, who posted five points and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Rivercrest's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-13. As for Pewitt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Rivercrest will welcome Harts Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pewitt and Maud will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Maud's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so Pewitt's offense will have their work cut out for them.
