After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Atchison, Highland Park was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sumner Academy Sabres with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Scots haven't had any issues with the Sabres recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-7, 25-10.

Highland Park's offense was headlined by Justine Johnson and Carmiya Ray, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Kaia Hooper and her 18 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

The victory got Highland Park back to even at 11-11-1. As for Sumner Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15-1.
