Basketball Recap: Seiling Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Seiling took on Latta on Saturday. The Seiling Wildcats took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Latta Panthers. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Seiling and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Latta, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seiling will host Mooreland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Seiling has won nine straight at home dating back to last season, while Mooreland won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Latta, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coalgate at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
