Softball Recap: Lutcher Drops Highest Score of Season Against South Lafourche

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lutcher). They never let the South Lafourche Tarpons get on the board and left with a 29-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lutcher has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. South Lafourche is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutcher will take on Assumption at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Assumption will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Lutcher surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Lafourche, they will head out to take on South Terrebonne at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
