Basketball Recap: Southern Rams vs. Tucker County Mountain Lions
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Southern Rams ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They secured a 60-56 W over Tucker County. The victory was nothing new for Southern as they're now sitting on three straight.
Leading Southern to victory were Jared Haskiell and Isaiah Keller. Haskiell scored 21 points along with two blocks, while Keller scored 20 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Haskiell is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Braige Hardesty was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Southern has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Tucker County, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern will take on the Golden Tornado at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Keyser is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Tucker County, they will head out on the road to take on the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
