After only one run in their last game, Interboro made sure to put some runs up on the board against Penn Wood on Thursday. The Buccaneers blew past the Patriots 16-1. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Tyler Green was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Vinnie Gaul also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Interboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penn Wood only posted a batting average of .000.

Interboro has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Penn Wood, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coincidentally, Interboro and Penn Wood will both be playing Academy Park the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Knights at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Buccaneers will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
