Liberty County won the last time they faced Groves and things went their way on Friday too. The Liberty County Panthers walked away with a 40-31 victory over the Groves Rebels. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Liberty County had a senior duo take command as Lyric McIver dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards and Zamarria Green posted four points and nine rebounds. Love Elliott also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Groves' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aniyah Wright, who had nine points. Tamiya Washington was another key player, putting up eight points.

Liberty County's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Groves, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Liberty County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-31 victory against Johnson on the 11th. As for Groves, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-41 defeat against Beach on the 11th.
