Football Recap: Depaul Catholic Takes Down Ranked Passaic

DePaul Catholic faced Passaic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Spartans blew past the Indians 24-0. Considering the Spartans have won three contests by more than 23 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading DePaul Catholic to victory were Breya LeTinnier and Isabella Ricca. LeTinnier rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown, while Ricca rushed for 30 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: DePaul Catholic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 71.7 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 225.3.

The win was the third in a row for DePaul Catholic, bringing their record up to 4-2.
