Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Saturday. Cannon lost 78-58 to Calvary Day School.

Meanwhile, Carmel Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Asheville School (Independent) on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 54-48 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Blues: they've now won five in a row.

Carmel Christian's win came from a few key players Cannon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Landon Haggerty, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jesh Gutierrez, who had 13 points.

Carmel Christian's record now sits at 4-6. As for Cannon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
