Basketball Recap: Mason Smith's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy over Temple Baptist

Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy lost against Temple Baptist back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Temple Baptist Eagles. Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Smith, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Braden Smith, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 10 points.

Temple Baptist was led to victory by Nathan Wallace and Marcus Schuurman. Wallace posted 16 points, while Schuurman earned 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Anders, who had eight points.

Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Temple Baptist, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Pinnacle Classical Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Temple Baptist has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Shining Rock Classical Academy.
