Baseball Recap: Battlefield Takes a Loss

The Battlefield Bobcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks on Wednesday and fell 8-6.

Teagan Leach made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Christian Gomez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Battlefield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Miller School of Albemarle, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

Coming up, Battlefield will challenge Bishop O'Connell at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they will head out on the road to challenge Greenbrier Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
