Baseball Recap: Taravella Comes Up Short

Taravella and Western squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Taravella had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 9-3. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

JC Martinez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Taravella's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Western, their victory bumped their record up to 13-15.

While Taravella had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
