Casa Grande is 9-1 against American Canyon since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. On Thursday, Casa Grande had just enough and edged Napa out 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Gauchos' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 727th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 362nd).

Erik Hernandez and Dylan Reyes scored both of Casa Grande's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, American Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Justin-Siena.

Casa Grande pushed their record up to 5-5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for American Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9-3.
